Penguins!

Time for the first mass email through the new fangled, fancy smancy, website.In theory all mass emails will come through this website since it’s SOOOO much easier to have the website track everything for us.

As of 16-May-2010 @ 2203.25 we have 78 kids signed up to swim so far.Excellent.I am sure there will be more but looks like we will have another strong team this year.

Coach Jake and I attended the Horsetooth league meeting last week.We were able to lock down our swim schedule for this year.The league requested only four meets total for all teams.I was planning on trying for a Wednesday morning swim meet, or we were also toying with the idea of a Wednesday night swim meet, but with limited meets and potential COVID restrictions, we went with the flow and did Saturday meets as that’s the only time slots the other large teams would entertain.

Here is our 2021 Schedule for the season.Note that City/State are a week earlier this year than what was typically done in the past.

• May 27th - Thursday @ 5:30pm - Parent Meeting - Pool Parking Lot
• June 1st - Tuesday - First day of Swim Practice YAY!
• June 9th - Wednesday - Time Trials - Meet Software Dry Run
• June 12th - Saturday - Home Meet - Westfield
• June 19th - Saturday - Away Meet - Westfield (yes again)
  • In theory this reduces COVID risk with same team
• June 26th - Saturday - Home Meet - Village Green
• July 10th - Saturday - Away Meet - Collindale
• July 16th - Friday - City Meet part 1 - 11 and older
• July 17th - Saturday - City Meet part 2 - 10 and younger
  • Location is TBD
  • Older/Younger days could be swapped
• July 20th - Tuesday @ 4:30pm - Swim Team End of Year Party
• July 23rd - Friday - State - Distance Swimmers
• July 24th - Saturday - State - 11 and over
• July 25th - Sunday - State - 10 and under
  • Older/Younger days could be swapped
