Two important bits of information!

Time Trials are this Wednesday the 9^th. Coach would like ALL kids to show up at the 7am practice. This is an optional time trial that we will try to run similar to a meet. The goal is to get as many times on kids as possible and to give them a low pressure fun environment to get them ready for a real swim meet. Volunteer wise, I will need six timers and two kid wranglers, plan on worst case being there from 7am – 9:25am. I have not figured out how to do volunteers on the fancy website. Home vs Away: This is a ‘fun’ one. We had ~60% of the population in the don’t care category. Strong majority there. Home vs Away votes: it was close. However, after taking all aspects into consideration we have made the decision to convert our Saturday the 12^th swim meet from a HOME -> AWAY meet. Reasons: We are still working the bugs out of the new software and having the first meet of the season be a home meet is tough and can be messy. The Nelson Farm kids were begging for a swim meet and if we didn’t say yes they wouldn’t have a full swim meet schedule. As well, Westfield was excited about a three way swim meet. For those reasons, we have decided to change this Saturday’s meet to an AWAY meet (at Nelson Farms). If you feel jilted about this decision, happy to discuss over a beer and/or burger. This decision was not made lightly. We appreciate the flexibility.
