The Nelson Farms Meet will be run in TWO sessions.

Session 1: 11 and older

6:30-6:40am Nelson Farm

6:40-6:50am Fossil Lake Ranch

6:50-7:00am Westfield

7:05 Session 1 start time

Session 2: 10 and under

9:00-9:10am Nelson Farm

9:10-9:20am Fossil Lake Ranch

9:20-9:30am Westfield

9:35 Session 2 start time

(11 and up) Arrive at 6:15 AM, their meet runs from approximately 7 - 9 AM

(10 and under) Arrive at 8:45 AM, their meet runs from approximately 9:30 - 11:30 AM

Reminder: Bring swim cap, snacks, water.  No concessions.

Events: Coaches put swimmers in events. We (the coaches) did not give parents the option to choose their child's event. At practice on Monday we had the kids write on a note card what stroke they prefer and they think they are best. We used this information along with time trial results to put kids in events. Everyone will swim a variety of events this season (especially early in the year since we are learning where the kids strengths are).

Volunteers: We might have to do this on the fly as I still don’t know how to ‘signup’ for Nelson farm volunteers. They are requesting ONE parent for Session 1 to do kid wrangling and TWO parents for sessions 2 to also do Kid Wangling.  Jackie N, Chris S – I moved you to session 2 kid wranglers.  If you don’t like the bait and switch that just happened please up the signup genious.  And looking for a volunteer for session 1 kid wrangler.  Same Link as before:https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0448A5A628A5FE3-flrswim2

Parking will suck. Be prepared. We will have a team shade tent. I think the shade at Nelson farms is good under the two big trees. Bring your own camp chair or blanket. There might be room for your own shade tent.

Heat sheets – We don’t have them yet. Late this evening.There will be a few printed and I should be able to send digital copies when I have them.

Unrelated to tomorrow’s meets but if you made it to the bottom of this email (good work) some extra information: MI Sports in Loveland has ordered a few extra boys and girls team swim suits. If you are a brick and mortar type call there to see if they have the size you are looking for!
