Couple things to point out: The planned optional parent meeting scheduled for 5:31pm on Friday May 31st, needs to move to Friday May 24th at 5:31pm. I got called for Jury Duty (ugh) on the 31st and can’t guarantee that I would make the parent meeting.

Practices:

We are going to try something a bit different this year. With an additional 30 minutes (Splash no longer needs 1.5 hours for swim lessons) we are going to try three practices. Allows coaches to push the older kids to get more out of swim team and shorten practice for the 8 unders who barely survive a full hour.
6:45 - 7:00 am - Optional Dry Land
7:00 - 8:00 am - (60min) 11 and up
8:00 - 8:45 am - (45min) 9 and 10
8:45 - 9:15 am - (30min) 8 & Under
Please make an effort to attend your assigned time slot as we think this will help.

Starting Blocks and Donations:

We are going to make a focused effort to get new starting blocks for the swim team. The ones we have a gotten ragged. We would like to upgrade to proper starting blocks. However they are crazy expensive $2800/per lane. We probably need to come up with $14-19k to get them purchased and installed. We currently have about $7k in the swim team reserves right now.

As part of the registration process there is a way make a donation when registering. Your donations will go directly towards the starting blocks. I would like to thank again our last seasons sponsors: Soukup Bush and Associates, and Decibullz. Your donations last season made us realize that we should ask for donations publicly and apply it towards a team equipment goal.

The night meet (Saturday July 6th) we will be inviting the neighborhood to come eat hamburgers and hot dogs as a fund raiser for the team.

Assistant Coaches:

We are in search of a couple amazing assistant coaches. If you know of anyone who might be interested the pay rate for this position is $16-17/hour depending on experience. Clothing:

Same clothing options as last year. Plus we are trying to add PJ pants and a hat to the selection, but it’s not there yet. Stay tuned.
